When I was a child my dad gifted me his childhood stamp collection as well as his uncle’s stamp collection. I’ve spent the last few months sorting and arranging selections from these collections with the aim of breathing new life into these beautifully designed postage stamps and to share their collections with a wider audience. My great uncle was bed ridden as a child due to scarlet fever. It was during this time he started collecting stamps. I can only imagine this was a therapeutic experience for him as a young man to be able to travel vicariously through these stamps.
This arrangement features a variety of stamps from around the world reimagined as a gallery installation with tiny art appreciators admiring the work.
