Amethyst is a violet quartz variety that got its name from the Koine Greek word "amethystos," meaning "not intoxicated," reflecting the belief in its power to protect against drunkenness. In ancient times, Greeks wore amethyst and crafted drinking vessels from it with the belief that it could prevent intoxication.
This piece of amethyst is home to a couple of hand-painted 1:160 scale figures, so no two works are alike.
Measures approximately 3.5” x 3” x 2”.
